iPhone 9

Anyone out there use iPhone 9 linked to Libre 2 sensor. I have a new iPhone 9 however Libre informed me not to update to iOS 17. Would appreciate any help better still Abbott should resolve the issue as it’s stopping people with diabetes using iPhone. Looking at Libre site they are only updated to iPhone 7? What’s happening at Abbot / libre

First, it is unlikely that a volunteer on a user-to-user site for Apple will be able to tell you what might be happening at Abbott. Your best source of information regarding Abbott would be to contact Abbott directly.

Next, I cannot find any reference for an iPhone 9 among U.S. versions. Check to see what model of iPhone you have as follows:

Tap Settings > About > General > Model Name

There is no iPhone 9. Apple never made an iPhone 9. They went from iPhone 7 to the 8 and the iPhone X at the same time.

The most current version of iPhones are the iPhone 15 model family and the iPhone SE third generation.

Going by there website, it seems the Libre sensor may have issues with the Stand By mode and Assistive Access mode.

If your "new" iPhone is not already running iOS 17, then you can hold off updating to it. If it is already running iOS 17, try it out and see if it works.

Otherwise, contact Libre for updates to their devices so they can work with iOS 17.
