iPhone 15 pro not charging on wireless charger in my cars

When the charging port on my iPhone 8 stopped working i bought the latest wireless charger. Yesterday I upgraded to iPhone 15 and now it charges for 10 seconds and stops. Disappointing! Apple needs to be quick in response to all the recent complaints about similar problems of their own making.

I have an iPhone 15plus brand new and it won’t charge on my wireless charger for my 2023 Honda CR-V. It has update 17.2.1. Not sure if it’s the bulky cámara that sticks out. Very frustrating. Had no issues on my iPhone 11 since it was flat.

purchased the 15 couple of weeks ago and it won’t wirelessly charge on my Kia seltos. I’m on 17.2.1 software’s all updated. I reckon the protruding camera doesn’t allow the phone to connect to the wireless transmitters? Could that be the real issue?

I don’t think it’s the camera lenses because my wireless charger in my car is an upright slot that you stick your phone down into so it’s not reliant on it laying flat. I can visibly see from the indicator on my infotainment system that it recognizes the device, and it starts charging, and then it stops. So I’m inclined to think that doesn’t have anything to do with it, because mine just doesn’t require it to lay flat.

I just received my phone two days ago. I’ve been in my car twice with it. It will not charge at all. I have tried every thing known to man to try and troubleshoot this situation. I have purchased items from Amazon to try and convert nothings working.

I got this phone and traded in my iPhone 13 Pro Max I at this point when my old phone back because this is absolutely stupid and it’s wasting my time.

I’ve got the same problem here with my wireless charger on my night stand. I just upgraded to a 15 pro max from a Google pixel. It detects the charger, starts for a bit then stops. My battery is at 32%after being on there all night

Well, I did a longer test after IOS 17.3, with and without a case, flipped over and although it appeared to work during last night's test in my 2024 CRV for a few minutes, it failed today. Back to square one!

I JUST upgraded my iPhone 13 pro to an iPhone 15 pro and I'm having the same wireless charging issue on my mophie charging pad and my 2024 Hyundai Tucson's charging pad :'(((( Had I known this was going to be an issue, I would NOT have upgraded. On top of that, my new iPhone 15 pro drops 20% battery overnight with no use. I'm very disappointed.

I doubt they put a lot of research or money into their charging mats in cars. Sure, it's got a cheapo charging mat, which may or may not charge your phone and that's likely about as much thought and money they put into it.

Hello All, i have the same issue with the new Honda CRV 2024 with QI wireless charger and iPhone 15 pro max. Honda said that the Qi is up to 15w. When i place the iPhone 15 pro max on CRV Qi wireless charger, it stop to charges after 1-2 mins. Sometimes, stop charging after 30 mins. Also no significant battery% improvement. 30 mins only 1% added on my battery. iPhone has the latest release 17.4. also i used the original Apple magsafe clear case. Any ideas for resolution? Thx

I just experienced this in my truck. I had it connected to CarPlay and while driving, the CarPlay screen blipped and then lost connection.

Pulled over and replugged the phone in, got the buzz that it was charging, saw the icon for charging, then it disappeared.

While this was happening, the CarPlay icon on my truck showed up with the green play button then disappeared.

I got home and my phone works with my PC but not my wall charger.

Tried two different charging cables with my truck with the same behavior.

My Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max won’t charge on the wireless charger in my VW Golf mk6. Very frustrating! I thought it was the size and how far the camera protrudes but after researching it looks to be a fault in IOS. Come on Apple!

Same issue here on my 2023 Chevy Colorado. Connects for a few seconds and then disconnects. I sometimes get a hit or miss when it does stay connected but that’s more a miss than a hit. Had no problems with my IPhone 12. Thought it might be the case but nope same issue. I am now plugging it in which is super annoying and against what the Q charging is. Hope they look into a fix.
