iPhone 15 pro not charging on wireless charger in my cars

Make sure to report it. iOS 17.1.1 was a disaster.

Since it's a 2024, check with Subaru to see if there is an applicable firmware update for your car that might address this issue.

Same problem on the 2022 Chevy Traverse. I will update to iOS 17.2.1 tonight to see if it fixes the issue.

Have you checked with Mercedes as to whether there is a firmware update?

Many car systems require both iOS 17.2 or beyond and a firmware update from the auto maker.

FYI - this is happening with my in-home wireless charger too, on my 15 pro, not just my car. Something's afoot with charging to non-apple branded chargers.

Ive spoken to Apple about 10 times . They have no solution

My new 15 will also not wirelessly charge in my Tesla. All other family phone charge fine, it’s not the charger.

Wireless charger in ford explorer 2023 does not charge iPhone 15 max pro. It starts charging and then drops in 10 seconds. Dealer says nothing wrong with vehicle. Anyone any luck in similar situation?

Since the latest update 17.1.1 was installed on my NEW iPhone 15 Pro Max a few days ago, I no longer have:

Wireless charging facilities.

Internet connection is lost, so Whats App and Messenger will not work, unless phone is on WiFi.

I have 2 Belkin Boost Charges - model WIB003, costing me a small fortune, NO LONGER charges my phone. It starts to, then 10 seconds late, stops charging. This charging routine goes on and on, and no change in battery level. The Battery heath is 96% so HARDWARE is not the issue. It's the latest software I bet!!!!!!!!!!

Can I Roll back to the previous OS level software, to sort out this issue for now???

This exact same issue is occurring to me in my 2023 Chevy Traverse. My iPhone 15 pro charges for a few seconds and then stops. It is not the wireless charger. My wife’s and kids iPhones charge just fine on it.

Thank you for all your effort here. Just 2 days ago I got a 15 plus and today traveled for work and had the exact same thing happen in my car (2018 Honda Accord). However, it happened to do the exact same thing with the wireless AND a plug in. You make mention to inform Apple, do you suggest calling the support line or going to a store to do that? Thanks again.

Yes, it did help and I hope other people that come on here read your post. I just meant acknowledge it publicly. Every time I go out I place my phone on the wireless charger. I didn’t know I could damage my phone. Now I know to not try using it until an update drops. Thank You for updating this forum and your time.

Apple is still having people take their vehicles into dealers when you and I know that this is not the problem. Apple really needs to communicate with the technical support reps better on this is issue and acknowledge the problem is in fact apples and get the issue escalated and resolved. Yes it’s happening to me in my Chevrolet blazer Rs 2023, it connect for about 10 seconds and the disconnects ,it was working perfectly with iPhone 13 Pro Max, why is not working with the new 15pro max. I don’t like that . We are supposed to have better tech

Up dated to 7.21 iPhone 15 pro max still charges for about 10 seconds then stops! I tried turning off the optimized battery settings and also the green settings like in one of the other posts. Still no luck.
