My new iPhone 15 pro will not charge wireless on my 2022 gmc goes to charge for like 10 seconds and disconnects? Works fine in my wife ms iPhone 14 Pro Max as well as my iPhone 13 Pro

In short, yesterday the Apple Genius of Geniuses at the
Denver, CO store told me, Apple is working the issue and not to use the car
wireless charge, because the NFC chip is overheating and shutting down the
wireless charging. Continuous use of the car wireless changer will damage the
iPhone.
The longer story, my brand-new iPhone 15 Pro (iOS 17.1.2) does
this with my 2023 GMC Sierra HD. My old iPhone 12 works perfect with my truck,
even with iOS 17.1.1 & 17.1.2. On Saturday I spent 3.5 hours on the phone
with Apple support troubleshoot the issue and gathering diagnostic logs. The
interesting thing is that for 3 of those hours the iPhone was docked on the
truck wireless charger and just about ever 5 minutes the wireless charging
would connect for 5 seconds. Then yesterday I happened to be in an Apple store,
so I went in and asked them about the issue. That is when I was told more in-depth
about the issue and not to place the iPhone on the truck’s wireless charging
area because it may fry the NFC chip.
Sounds like Toyota designed their charger such that the charging coil doesn't properly align, an all-too-common problem, I'm afraid.
It's why MagSafe was developed and essentially adopted into the Qi2 standard.
If you do an Internet search you will find owners of recent Android phones complaining of the same issues.
Have you notified Apple?

Yes, same thing. I have a 2023 GMC sierra Denali and it stopped charging my phone a few months ago. It use to work until one of the new updates. When will apple fix this???
It has nothing to do with the cameras. I had my 2024 Buick at the dealer, 2 other iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max charged fine and 2 Android phones charged fine. I had the iPhone 14 Pro Max and charged fine and even my iPhone 15 Pro Max charged fine until iOS 17.1.1 came out to fix BMW’s issues.
I Have the same issue with my I phone 15 pro. On my 2023 Chevy Colorado. It shows charging for seconds then stops. I thought it might be because of the camera and not laying completely flat. So I tried my friends 14 and it stayed charging.
I have the same issue in my ‘23 Tesla Model X LR. Just got a chance to try it out. Other phones, 12Pro and 14Pro both work just fine on the charger. Wish I googled it more earlier as I just bought two new cases as my other one had metal on it which I had read may of been an issue but I have not tested the new plastic one yet.
Have the same issue with an iPhone 15 Pro Max and a Colorado 2023. Charges for 10 seconds and disconnects. Tried with an iPhone 12 pro and it works. Thought the issue was the camera of the 15 Pro Max was bigger and that was the issue but hope it is just the iOS and could be fixed in the next update.
A quick search of the Internet finds similar complaints about 2021, 2022 and 2023 Hyundai Elantra and Santa Fes and the iPhone 12 Pro/Pro Max, 13 Pro/Pro Max, 14 Pro/Pro Max and 15 Pro/Pro Max along with the Google Pixel 6, 7 and 8 and Samsung Galaxy S22 and S23.
The consensus is Hyundai's seems to be a poor implementation of Qi and it's virtually impossible for the charge coils to line up properly (and when they do, charging is very slow and overheats the device, regardless of vendor.)
Most owners put their phones into the pocket upside down (charge port up) and charge with a cord.
Hyundai dealers blame it on a "software issue" (with Hyundai, not Apple, Google or Samsung) but say they've not received any notification of a fix, and that's been for at least two years now.

I have a non-MagSafe wireless charger on my desk (really cheap one from Amazon). It works fine with my iPhone 15 Pro.
Depending upon the Mophie charger you may simply need to align your phone better; certainly charging works with the "puck"-style Mophie chargers.
As for the Tucson's charging pad, if you search the Internet you will find the same complaints from owners of several Android devices; Hyundai made bad assumptions about where the device's charging puck would be in relation to the rest of the device and this failure to charge is the result.
Hyundai may be able to fix it with a future firmware update for their vehicles, but no one knows.
If you're that unhappy with it, Apple allows returns of iPhone purchases for any reason for fourteen days if you got it directly from them; other retailers have different return policies.
Iphone 15 Pro Max updated to 17.3 and will not charge in Kona N. Tried turning off optimised charging, but exactly the same. Place on pad and after 5 secs flashes orange and repeats. NOT working !!!
Have home wireless charger, no problems. Contacted Apple and just wanted diagnotics report. Not really any help at all. Do they actually read this ???

Each manufacturer has software to detect whether the Qi charger is in contact with the charging ring in the device; it's apparent the manufacturer of the charger in your car coded theirs improperly.

The store can’t do nothing calling support can’t do nothing because it’s a software issue. They told me to call GM after I had it at the dealer already.
