What attachment?

You mean its not seeing the super drive?

Where are you looking for it exactly?

How is the drive connected to the Mac?

Is the drive getting power? Does it turn on, and spin?

Is there a disc in the drive?

Is the disk formatted such that the Mac can read it?

Are disk drives set to show up in Finder and the Desktop in Finder Menu ➜ Settings ➜ General ➜ Show these items on the Desktop ➜ CD's, DVD's and iPods? and Finder Menu ➜ Settings ➜ Sidebar ➜ Locations ➜ CD's, DVD's and iPods?
