ipod video 5th gen won't connect to itunes

Trying to restore a 5th gen video iPod for resale; it's connected to computer but not visible in iTunes and can't do any actions in Finder - although I do see it and can "Get Info".

I'm on a iMac G5...

iMac, OS X 10.11

Ipod Video 5th gen software deleted So i tried to fix my Ipod by using the disk utility since it cant be detected by apple music But then, i tried to delete the files and it so happened to delete the software from the ipod itself. And now it says "Connect to your computer. Use itunes to restore." Since itunes is no longer a thing, i only have the Apple Music. But since it cant detect the ipod i have don't got a clue on how to restore it. It only recognized as a hard drive in finder, but sometimes it show up and does not, is there anyway out of this? p.s. Can i use mac os catalina to restore an ipod video 5th generation i have an ipod video 5th generation (the black one) and i was wondering if i am able to restore it with mac os catalina since itunes has been removed and i have to use finder. i fear that my mac won't be able to restore this ipod and i will basically have a brick. asking for a friend.

Does Apple ITunes support IPod. Does not show up in ITunes when plugged into my PC? When I plug in my IPod to my PC Windows 11, it does not show in the ITunes Library as it has done so in the past. Yes my IPod is old but still works when plugged into my vehicle USB. Have over 1200 titles on it. What are my options to get it back working with ITunes???
