I need the iOS 17.1 back on my iPhone
17.1.1 just installed. When I click on a contact name, it comes up in an unappealing, ugly actually, grey screen! Why did they do that? Can I change it ?

Do your Part: No. This is a feature of this iOS version. So, if you do not like it, then request to Apple that they remove it. Apple may not get back to your directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more the will know what their customers prefer, and what features not to include in iOS versions to come.
