Unable to recover messages on my iPhone 15 Pro

I have recently upgraded to an iphone15 Pro, iOS version 17.1.1. After the restore I found that some, not all, messages from one contact were missing. I went to Messages, Edit, Show Recently Deleted and found 30,887 deleted messages from this one contact. I keep recovering them and then a couple of days later they are back in the Recently Deleted. This would probably be my longest message thread but I have my messages set to Keep Forever. Suggestions most welcome.

I have 15 Pro Max with 512 GB; and have been having the issue of complete threads of texts being deleted despite having them set to keel forever. Very frustrating.

Has this issue remained or has it been fixed I have this exact same problem and I’ve been to the Apple Store to ask for assistance and the have no idea what I’m referring to
