Is keeping find my Mac "on" recommended?

Yes. Otherwise, if it gets lost and the option is not turned on, you won't be able to track it. There is no way to turn it on remotely. Keep Find My turned on.


System Settings ➜ Privacy and Security ➜ Location Services ➜ Find My. Make sure its turned on.


Then it should appear on the Map in the Find My App, under Devices.
