After iOS 17.1.1 update my iPhone apps are not working correctly

I have totally different issues with the latest IOS 17.1.1 downloaded on my iphone 12, everything is waaaay too big for the screen. Can't even find my 'speaker' button when I get a phone call. I checked and Zoom is turned off already. Don't want the text smaller or I won't be able to read it. I need to get this CR*P off my phone now. Don't want to wait for some upgrade, that could take weeks or months!! Some useless 'techy' must have been desperate for a job to come up with this junk!!!! Getting tired of this. You need to try it before you download it on all of our phones!!!! Is it possible to remove this latest IOS upgrade?

The new update sucks. Please fix the editing tools on photos, ie: square blank boxes. Arrows that you can change the color of. Also my photos are always high jacked when I text someone. I need these photos to look back at for referal info on clients. This update has been the worst I have ever had

It does feel like some techy employee wants to keep their job. This update is awful, no one likes it. If it ain’t broke don’t “fix” it. You don’t know what features we use everyday. Maybe ask us before changing everything? Most updates have been ok, but whoever thought of this. Maybe quit your day job

I have an iPhone SE, my husband an iphone X. The update caused the removal of group messaging toggle in my phone, but not in his. He has done all the updates and continues to have the group message toggle. I now do not think that it was an intentional removal, I think it is a glitch that randomly affects. Perhaps with the next update, things will smooth out. It is not a feature that they would knowingly remove. It makes no sense that they would.

Yeah mine is a mess. I did a timer alarm with their in house app and I couldn’t turn it off. Legit had to hard reset the phone to make the buzzer turn off. Auto correct is adding spaces and suggesting way off things more than ever. When someone calls the screen is gigantic with a slew of icons. I’ve had screen freezes and my safari keeps randomly logging me out of my account forcing me to resign in over and over again. The phone is struggling to sync with my car now all of a sudden. The battery feels like it’s being drained twice as fast like what on earth is going on? Are we able to go back to the old version while they fix this one? Or are they putting out an update today? Cause this 17.1.1 thing is trash.

My work iPad updated automatically (my personal devices are manual for this exact reason). I am a teacher and I use “Files” to mark up PDFs on screen for my class - this is now not even a thing I can do due to these glitches.

We also use an app called Seesaw and the students whose iPads updated are messing up their work BIG time. It’s so sad, all their hard work! I feel so bad for them.

These glitches are on an operating system level and are so broad over so many device functions it is NOT funny. C’mon Apple!!! Why are you releasing rubbish? Are you rushing your work? You’re suppose to test and check, and check and test before your realise new iOS!!

You can call Apple Care, but I just spent half my day off at my local Apple Store with several “geniuses” and, believe me, Apple Does Not Care! No one working there had heard anything about all the problems with the 17.1.1 update, they were shocked. And as I listed and showed them ALL the problems that had appeared on my iPhone 14 Plus the day after the update, not one of them had any idea how to fix any of them…Siri stops reading messages halfway through, autocorrect isn’t working, air pods flip off partway through a call, jumping curser while typing…“Sorry, those are software problem, we don’t handle software problems…” Bottom line, it’s time for this girl to get off this crazy train and switch to Samsung…

Ditto. Since the 17.1 update, group text send to the most recent number called in the address book, which includes home numbers. How insane is that? The only way I could think of to fix this was to delete the home number from my contact and create a separate contact for that person with just their home number. I don’t know if it’s going to work but we’ll find out. In addition we used to be able to delete a person from a conversation or even add a person to the conversation, but not anymore. The only way to delete is to delete and block the person from the conversation. Does that block them permanently from every other conversation? And yes, the volume thing is so irritating. The changes that Apple made to every app on the iPhone is a mess!

I reached someone at apple by phone and she said she wasn’t supposed to admit that the update caused all these problems, but confirmed it had. Said there is no fix and no plan for one. So there ya have it. As soon as I have time, I’m going phone shopping NOT for another useless iPhone!

Yeah, I don’t think she fully knew what she was talking about. Apple most likely has a fix planned, but there isn’t just one fix they can make. They have to release multiple versions to fix all the bugs. Also, 17.3 came out last Tuesday, so I’d recommend updating, as it may have fixed some of the issues with 17.0-17.2.

The recent phone calls aren’t coming up, also the voicemail shows I have messages but nothin there, and my incoming calls are confusing, too many icons

My apps aren’t even updating anymore because Apple restricted or so my stepmom says

So, stick to 16.7.2 for now.

Do you know how to remove this junk 17.1.1? I want to go back. I had automatic update on my phone.
