After iOS 17.1.1 update my iPhone apps are not working correctly

Well, lo and behold! My messages sent from my Mac to Android devices has begun working again. I have made no changes to either the Mac OS or the iPhone IOS. The iPhone IOS is still 17.2.1, as before.

I'm happy that it's working again, but would like to know why it quit and id it's going to stop working again at some point?

I had some issues and spoke to salespeople at a cell phone provider store they said my phone cannot support the updates as it is older, iPhone 8 SE purchased in 2020? He said it is not 4 years old but rather 9 years old to the newest phone? I guess that’s why people don’t keep their phones for long and buy it outright as they will probably change it in 2 years or so…what if I buy a new phone and turn off automatic updates? I never knew about that option.

Totally agree w/everything so far… my phone automatically uploaded to a higher iOS 17.1.12(?) overnight!! Everything now gets underlined as you are typing. I have an Apple 14, they’ve been HOUNDING me to BUY more storage; because everything is full. I told them that I bought 256 GB from Google; email, photos, FB, Messages, etc. WHY do I need an Apple iCloud too??

I can’t even dictate a message after update. I could crash and die from texting and driving. Apple WTF. With the amount of money that you charge for your products we should never have one single issue. Fix it or I’m taking my 2 million dollar business account to Cricket

Yeah, I don’t think she fully knew what she was talking about. Apple most likely has a fix planned, but there isn’t just one fix they can make. They have to release multiple versions to fix all the bugs. Also, 17.3 came out last Tuesday, so I’d recommend updating, as it may have fixed some of the issues with 17.0-17.2.

Worst until 17.3. I am constantly being logged out of everything I log in to that normally don’t require new sign in. Just now, all video poker games in the app store tell me game not available, not available in the US Store and the like. I am in the US and using US servers I am sure…. no way so many games all just became unavailable.

Apple please undo or fix this update immediately!!! My phone is slower, my apps don’t work, my phone shuts off randomly now!!! My phone worked perfectly before this update. Did you do this on purpose Apple???? Seems like it.

I found this blog because I’m having the same issue with autocorrect and text. It’s terrible. Everything is taking me extra time to write and I have some cognitive issues so it’s incredibly frustrating. Quality control sure got it wrong with this one

Mine too. My battery is draining even when I haven’t used it. My phone is not even paid for yet and already having issues. Seriously thinking about switching to Google or Android. I am tired of paying these outrageous prices for them to only work for 2 years.

I couldn’t even share my slideshow I made and put my own music to. When I would try to share from memories it still had the default song on there. I could delete the old one out of memories and it still would have the same memory with default music. I had to download another app to make a video. Shouldn’t have to do that with a $1000 phone.

My apps aren’t even updating anymore because Apple restricted or so my stepmom says

My reminders widget and app aren’t showing. It’s a giant blurred section.

Exactly!!! Cannot get my FaceTime to work. Can we undo a update?

So how do you switch back???? People say stay with 16.1.2… which came out the same day, but how do we get rid of this new mess and go back!?!

Try turning the VPN off. It turned itself on with the latest update. Once it was off my phone worked perfectly. Hope that helps you.
