While on phone call iPhone screen turns black when I try to end the call

While on Phone call but when try to disconnect i see black screen only and no way to end the call. Tried to tap the screen nothing happens , after few secs wait nothing .. then press power button nothing comes On. But after few minutes it comes On by its own. Why this is happening?

i m using iPhone 11 iOS 17.1.1

This doesn’t happened all time but this keep occurring sometimes. Is this happening to you ???

what should i do ??

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

Press and quickly release Volume UP button
Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

Does your iPhone 11 still have its original battery?

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging

83% is not healthy and could be the reason for the unexpected behaviour. Apple recommends having the battery replaced at around 80% – so have the weak, aging battery replaced and all will (probably) be well:
