Camera Icon

This is the icon that is placed where the camera icon is supposed to be . This happened when I tried to close the app.

does anybody know why that happens

Why is a green dot showing constantly when switching apps on iPhone? Whenever I open an app (any app) or get back to the home screen from an app the green dot appears indicating the camera is being used. It does it with all apps every time. I have an iPhone 12 Pro iOS 18.3.2. I’ve closed all apps and it still does it . I don’t remember this happening in the past so I am a bit worried. After 4 seconds the green dot disappears, no matter if I am in an app or on the Home Screen [Re-Titled by Moderator]

This happens when iOS can't find the icon it's looking for, or it's in some way corrupted. Have you tried restarting your phone? That might fix it. If not, check for a software update on the phone itself.
