Apple Mac Mini M1 mouse issue

There seems to be a hardware issue on Apple Mac Mini M1. Wirless Mouse is not working at all. Disabling Wifi helped for a while, but later mouse became useless.

I think there might be a solution in a wired mouse, or in a new computer.

This topic requires Apple call-back of the product, or they need to address this in other ways. Very unusual problem, but this has to be solved.

There was a previous posting on this problem, but it was not solved. Therefore I posted this topic again.

"I have had non stop issues with mouse connectivity with the Mac Mini M1 (2020). This is a chronic and ubiquitous issue that Apple has utterly and completely failed to properly manage. This forum is littered with poor responses and people who have just given up. I am not giving up.

Magic Mouse is rendered unusable, Logitech mouse is barely usable. High amounts of jitter and lag. Cannot work.
Disconnecting Thunderbolt devices does not resolve the issue.
Disconnecting all USB devices and all other bluetooth devices does not resolve the issue, but does seem to decrease frequency. Unable to confirm without long term testing. Regardless, it doesn't solve the issue.
Disabling WiFi appeared to resolve the issue at first, but after testing for a bit, it also did not actually solve it either.
WiFi is using a new Google Mesh network, connected at 5Ghz, and should not interfere with Bluetooth frequency.
Made genius bar appt per apple support advice. Genius bar could not rectify the issue. All hardware operating properly. All software up to date. Advised to call apple support again.
Apple support suggested full troubleshooting analysis including physically moving the computer directly in front of me so there is no interference (not really a solution even if it did work, as you should be able to put your computer where convenient, but I did it), entering safe mode, creating a new account, disabling background and auto applications. Nothing worked except above mentioned solutions, which they neglected as part of troubleshooting methods.
Now suggesting a backup and full re-install of software. I will do this when I magically do not have impending work deadlines to meet, but apple needs to admit this is a HARDWARE PROBLEM that is WELL DOCUMENTED. I have proven that hardware changes are what leads to a solution as well, as mentioned above. So I am quite confident that this too will be a waste of time and will not ultimately resolve the issue.

Mind you, this mouse has a much shorter life span that the Apple Mouse - in general

What is the Average Lifespan of a Mouse?

While many factors can affect their longevity, mice usually live for about 12 to 18 months. The presence of food, shelter, and predators determines how long mice live.

I'm sorry, janiOFfinland, but Apple, Inc. doesn't respond, reply or post here, really, this is strictly a Mac user-to-user forum, however there are certain rules and regulations we must obey and adhere to, so posting here won't help you a huge amount, apart from leaving Apple Feedback at apple.com/feedback or reaching out to Apple Support via their 1-800 number in your country (they also have a chat feature/function, too), so for now, I'd suggest getting a wired USB mouse, although not the most elegant solution, it'll do for now, pretty much any brand of USB wired mouse will work, doesn't have to be super fancy, I'm using a mouse I bought from my local Dollarama store for $7.25 plus GST and it works just great. I am also using USB Overdrive with it, which, although is a paid application, you can still use it without paying for it , so I guess it's honor-ware...

Hi John,

yes, I know Apple does not read. But I want to make sure they care.

I do have a support call scheduled for Monday. I am not using Mac Mini actively, therefore this issues has not really been bothering. But now my son is using it, and we realized it is useless. Honestly we better switch to Lenovo if this is that difficult... Also Apple shall "pay" for the horrible design of Magic mouse, where the connector is at the bottom.

I know wired mouse does not cost much, but now I have 2 magic mouses (10x more than a basic chinese mouse), and I expect these are high-quality products that work. Otherwise I will switch to chinese cheap junk.. :)

(naturally I wont switch. This will be fixed somehow)

Never got as far as Magic Mouse 2, though I believe I have an unopened one in the cupboard behind me. I just had so many Apple Input devices fail in such short periods of time that it just wasn't worth it to me to even bother with them
