Automator "Watch Me Do" action can't be allowed in "Security and Privacy" preferences.

I created a very short Automator application that runs as a Login Item for my user account. The function is just to close a notification automatically after startup. However, I keep getting an error when it runs automatically (see pic). Unfortunately, the "watch me do" action is not an application, so it can't be added to the allowed list.

I was already prompted to allow Automator.

I was already prompted to allow the app I made.

I also allowed Finder per google research.

Google suggested that the target application also needed to be added. Per my "watch me do" action, that's Notification Center, and I'm not aware of NC being an app, so I can't add that to the allowed list either.

Ideas?

Found answer on StackOverflow, and that guy (Palimondo) found it on Reddit, and that guy (EthanDMatthews) said he found it elsewhere.

Answer:

Make sure your app is saved and closed.

Make sure Automator is closed.

In System Preferences> Security and Privacy> Privacy pane> Accessibility (on left)> edit app list (on right),

If present, REMOVE Automator and Your App USING THE (-) BUTTON.

then ADD both back in USING THE (+) BUTTON.

It took me 2 tries, but worked.

Objective: add new Automator apps to Privacy & Security > Accessibility section.
How? It doesn't appear when you save the Automator app.
Solution 1: Add the app using the "+/-" buttons at the bottom (but may not work).
Solution 2: First run the app. It will open but fail and give the error message prompt. Then check again under:
Privacy & Security > Accessibility
It should be there now. Flip the switch to blue and it should now work.
(that was unnecessarily convoluted and frustrating)
===================================================
Frustrating quirk:
Finally got the app working, then decided to make one small edit. It stopped working and threw the error dialog. I couldn't add it by either of the two methods, even if I duplicated the app and/or renamed it.
Eventually, I got it to work again by exporting the updated app from Automator under a new name, THEN following the above steps again.
