Where are the ticks that show which songs have been selected to sync to my phone?

I have just purchased a new MacBook which is running Sonoma and no longer has iTunes.

Up until now, I have been using iTunes to select the songs I wish to have on my phone and sync'd to the phone. On iTunes, the selected songs had a tick next to them. Where is that in Music?

I DO NOT want to use Music to determine what is sync'd to my phone, I want to do that myself. I cannot find any instructions on how to do that. Can anyone point me to a document that describes how to manually manage my music using Music?

Megantic,

Music > Preferences > General tab, and enable "Show -- songs list checkboxes" and then you will see them.

(The UK version might say "tick boxes.")
