My iPhone 12 Pro Max does not allow for eSIM installation. It doesn’t have option of “add cellular” and it does not have EID number. Kindly advise.

In China mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao, certain iPhone models feature Dual SIM with two nano-SIM cards. This model does not have the eSIM feature. Where did you purchase your iPhone 12 Pro Max? is it possible that your iPhone is from the region mentioned above?

What is the model number at: Settings - General - About - Model = ???
That is a model for the US market, and will be equipped with one eSIM and one Nano SIM slot. Contact your chosen cellular provider to determine if they can activate an eSIM in that model.
I bought my iPhone from Kenya. Not from those regions you have mentioned.
It shows 2 numbers:

The cellular provider only provided the QR code for eSIM activation. Now, there is no option to scan the code and activate.
