In game purchase, error message, ‘The iTunes Store is unable to process purchases at this time. Please try again later.’ But my card was still charged.

I made an in-game purchase and received the error message ‘The iTunes Store is unable to process purchases at this time. Please try again later.’ I tried 2 more times and again received the same error message. I checked my credit card and found that money was charged multiple times. There is no transaction showing in the purchase history so I cannot ‘reportaproblem’ as it forces you to select a transaction.
