Photo Booth sound system

The photo booth camera doesn't catch the sound when I record, and the camera doesn't catch my voice

or guidance I would appreciate any suggestions

Low Sound Input in Voice Memos and Notability on iPad Air 4 On my iPad Air 4 when I try to record a sound on the Voice Memos or Notability app my device picks up a highly muffled version of what I try to record and the bar that shows you what is currently recording barely moves. However when I take a video on the Camera app I don’t have any problems with the sound input and it records sounds correctly. Anything I can try to fix this?

Camera App video recording sound wuality terrible since upgrading to ios 26 All videos recorded using the camera app since upgrading to iOS 26 have terrible sound: one cannot hear ambient sounds like bird calls, waves, cars passing etc. All that comes through clearly is voice! This is NOT THE CASE when recording videos with other apps like WhatsApp or Facebook! It’s definitely some kind of filtering applied in the camera app that is NOT user adjustable! Every video I’ve recorded since iOS 26 is useless! 😕 iphone 11 iOS 26.01 I’ve tried all the usual approaches: force closing, reboots, everything I could find in settings etc. A call to Apple Support suggested erasing and restoring my phone…I’ll try that later today… I cannot be the only person on Earth with this issue?!?

old issue, new issue, what changed?

Camera does not capture sound, your built-in microphone does....

Verify your controls and volume are turned up— mute off in play back
