when will there be an option to not allow a specific app from using wifi?

I have a reverse camera for my truck that sends the video via wifi. So to view this camera I have to connect to its wifi. Unfortunately other apps such as Waze also connect to this wifi signal which has no internet connectivity, and Waze cannot connect to data until I turn off wifi all together, or turning off the reverse camera. Why shouldn’t I be able to tell Waze to never use WiFi, and only use cellular data? I understand the Chinese version of IOS has a feature I’m asking for, why not open that up to us here in the US? Perhaps even through another app that would allow preventing an app from using wifi.

Turning Off WiFi for a Certain App:

No. This is not an option. You can do so in Cellular, going to Settings > Cellular Data. . But, but, as of they reply, you only option is to disable WiFi all together.

So, Recommend this to Apple:

Do your Part: Being of no option, let Apple know what feature(s) you want to see added. Apple wont get back to you directly, but the more they hear of this, the more they will know what their customers prefer and what features need to be added. Apple will know nothing of your ideas, if you don't provide them to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Feature Request" for the "FeedbackType"
  3. Comment: that you think this should be an option and why., Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
