Perhaps should the phone still be working, with 'Find My' active

~ that might help to tell where your significant other might be(?)

Presume for a bit, these might be useful to find a person who

may be on, or near, the same location as the Apple iDevice.

Locate a device in Find My on iPhone - Apple Support

The use of Find My, with suitable aforeknowledge & preparation of the device;

could be most useful in itself to find someones whereabouts if or when lost.

"When you share locations with your family, they can see your location in Find My.

You can also get notified when family members change their locations—for example,

if a child leaves school during school hours."

Share locations with family members and locate their lost devices on iPhone - Apple Support

Get directions to a device

You can get turn-by-turn directions to your device if you see its location on the map.

  1. Tap Devices at the bottom of the screen, then tap the name of the device you want to get directions to.
  2. Tap Directions to open the Maps app . See Get directions in Maps.

Not sure how that might to have been prepared, for this event ahead

of time; some things need set in advance of a problem, & tested first.

The locations indicators & other details might not be adequate for this.

Maybe some other discussions readers may have some ideas in this?

Sorry to not be helpful here; as I've never used most iPhone features.

.And have never lost anyone or needed to find another person with iPhone.
