I have a macbookpro with itunes. When i connect to iphone, iphone doesn't show up in finder

Iphone is not showing in Finder or iTunes on MacBookPro. I have tried all suggested fixes such as restarting both devices.

An iPhone will only appear in Finder on a Mac that is running macOS Catalina or later. If your Mac has iTunes then it is running a pre-Catalina macOS.
