This should be done to maintain access to Apple Services, but will not help you with Snapchat. As stated, they have their own two factor authentication settings that you would need to change on their site. Any help with doing that or accessing your data without the phone previously set up for two factor authentication will have to be done by using the Snapchat support here:

That is something you will have to deal with Snap Chat. Apple has no control over how they handle your data or what is needed to be able to access your account.

The two factor authentication set up on your Apple ID only affects when signing into an Apple service on a different device. Third party companies have their own settings for two factor authentication when signing into their services.

Changes have been made.

  • On the (Sidebar) Click Sign-In and Security.

Then tap Email and Phone Numbers.

Then tap on the 'Apple' sign.

Then you can change your phone number.

To change your new trusted number, sign out of FaceTime and iMessage first (if you use FaceTime and iMessage).

Then you can change your new trusted number.
