Not able to activate whatsapp on iphone 15

I was never able to resolve it.

they best I could do was get access to WhatsApp on my Android and then linked my iPhone as a “Companion Device”.

Hi All, I was finally able to solve this issue. This is what i did :

1- purchase a basic sim card

2- insert in the iphone and download whatsapp

3 - the whatsapp will ask you : is this your new number : answer yes .

4- wait for the code to arrive

5- DO NOT ACTIVE WHATAPP WITH THE SIM CARD you are to throw away

6- delete app

7 switch off iphone & switch on again with your usual sim card

8 re install app and follow instructions as per usual. This was the only way it worked for me and i solved this issue. Hope you find this useful .

If you are getting the verification code on your Android device indicates two things the Phone Number that you are using for Activation is still associated with the SIM that is still on the Android Device.

What happens when you use the verification code on your iPhone that was sent to your Android?

That should not pose any issue.

I have the same problem as yours, I can't find a way to activate it I don't get any help from WhatsApp at all, and if I remove the SIM card to my Pixel I get the verification code not with my iPhone
