AppleCare+ SCAM - Beware of the Apple Support Team denying AppleCare+ purchase

I bought an apple device in 2022 and wanted to buy the AppleCare+ plan within 60 days as was mentioned on Apple's website. When I used the Support app, I noticed that my device is eligible to get additional coverage till 28th December 2023. I really liked the fact that the Support app is considering this so I didn't buy the AppleCare+ plan then. Here's a screenshot proof of the same.

So I initiated the processes that took me to the Apple Support Chat followed by a call from the Apple Support team. The team said that I cannot buy the plan since the device is not eligible. I spent 1-1.5 hours on chat and call with them on 26th Nov 2023 only to get a response that "The main team is unavailable on Sunday. We'll call you on Monday, 27th Nov 2023". Today, Nov 27th, I get the call and the same thing is told to me. I repeatedly asked, "Is the information I got on the Support app which is specific to my device's serial number FALSE and MISLEADING?", I was told that the app has a bug. I spent another 45min on call, waiting for the support person to get confirmation from their seniors (at least that's what they told me) only to get the same answer again: "The device is not eligible for a AppleCare+ coverage anymore".

I couldn't find that data on the Support app, so I thought of re-checking TODAY and making the purchase on the official Apple website: Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support to ensure that I still have the time to buy the AppleCare+

Here's the screenshot from today (27th Nov 2023). It clearly says, "Add AppleCare+ for your DEVICE

You have 32 days to purchase additional coverage for your DEVICE."

So I click on "Add AppleCare+" and was taken to a page that said "Chat" or "Call" and I requested a call. And again, after 30min of discussion, I got the same response.

So I'm escalating this here so that other users don't have to suffer the same scam. This is a misleading approach by the Apple Support team. The database on Apple says one thing, but the Support team is clearly trying to deceive users and not provide them the right information.

And conveniently, in the "Topic" section of making this post, there is no tag for "AppleCare+". Wow!

Has anyone else here faced the same issue of false information?
