Changes on timer after latest iOS update, can I revert them?
timer feature used to tell you at what time it would go off. Now it just tells you how long you set it for. Is there a way to fix this?

New timer is terrible! Countdown image is smaller. The larger one was way better. I don't need a panel that shows "Label - Timer. I know I am using the timer. I don't need to know my sound when the timer ends, nor do I need the screen mucked up with a bunch of "recents". Please give us the old timer!

I came on here to see if I’m alone…I’m not, phew! I also dislike how it keeps all of the old timers you’ve set. I really hope they change it so you want see the time it will go off.
I'm also annoyed by the update and how it does not show the end time.
I also hate new timer update! It is useful to also see the end time when timer will ring. I do not want to set alarm for short times 12 or 18 min. Want to use timer n see end time.
Having the timer reset each time to a default alarm sound is not user friendly. I have been woken up a few times in the middle of the night thinking my timer would stop playing a podcast. Nope, instead abruptly startled awake and one unhappy wife. PLEASE put the timers back to the way they were….Please!
I think everyone understands the difference. The point is the end time is not there anymore.
I am so glad to know it’s not just me! This timer update is awful for all the reasons stated.
Two camps here. Those that have been using Timer for the last ten years. And those that haven’t.
Why we used Timer.
in conclusion. I have ten additional apps on my phone. That’s It. Apple has built robust apps that work very well. I’m looking at you Notes!!
Apple please fix this. I truly don’t want to get a timer App. This is a boiler plate tasks that a computer can do well. Its sort of embarrassing for Apple.
this critique is has no negative reflection on the people that designed this iteration of Timer. I need to believe this has something to do a with Apple Watch? Integration?
all the best !
Please put the timers on the iPhone and watch back. The changes make things harder to use. And adds more clutter.
Hate it.
Seems like depending on the screen I’m in, it will just bump into notifications, then time out the screen and the phone turns off.
Also missing the no noise, vibrate only option. Just sloppy.
I use my timer multiple times throughout the day. I hate that it keeps a history of EVERY SINGLE TIME I USE IT! This is not helpful. Then I have to go through and delete them all.

AGREED PLEASE REVERT TO OKD TIMER
Believe me there are MANY of us who wonder what happened. It was the last update-that-wasn’t, not anything we did. We want our timer to give us the time it will go OFF, the way it used to, and we don’t want to see our past timer settings so we have to delete all of them.
you can see the end time by clicking the ongoing timer [only for iOS 17]
For all the people explaining how “you only need to click on the countdown to see the old timer and remaining time the way it used to be” is missing the point.
IT. SHOULDN’T. BE. THIS. WAY.
Because you STILL have to manually delete ‘recent’ timers because they AUTOMATICALLY come up!
And generally speaking, even if YOU are fine with something and can deal with it, if you can see the VAST MAJORITY of people not liking something and wanting it to change or change back… then THAT’S what needs to happen!
We should respect the wishes of the MANY and not the few!
Apple, do a survey! Email folks and ask people how they feel about this or any other issues you’ve seen people complaining about! Then you will be able to see whether or not these “updates” are worth the time!
