Does anyone have a suggestion for a "reasonably" priced combo printer/scanner for an OS Sonoma iMac? I print mostly texts but some illustrations from websites/magazines. My old printer, while still functioning, is too old and the manufacturer stopped making the drivers after the last OS. There are two instruments on the Apple website but would be interested in hearing from owners. Inkjet the best bet?

The HP ENVY Inspire 7220e All-in-One Wireless Printer - Apple that is at the Apple Store is a great option! It produces quality prints and has a scanner. It is also eligible for HP Instant Ink, a subscription program to save on ink.
Another option I like is the "ink tank" style of printers. Epson, Canon, and HP all have a version of this. I personally have experience with the Epson ET-2850 and like it. These ink tanks are more expensive upfront, but if you print a lot, can pay off. Otherwise, a standard cartridge printer, like the HP above, is a good bet.

It's not the cheapest printer on the retail shelf, but we're very happy with our Epson Eco-Tank.
We replaced an older Epson cartridge printer and the saving in ink has more than paid for the Eco-Tank.
