How to completely reinstall iPhone

There are 2 ways to reinstall iPhone, one is to do it by setting. The other one is done through using Mac connect iTunes.

Is there any difference between these two methods, and what is the 100%way to complete erase the iPhone.

If the iPhone is hacked, I am afraid normal reinstall is not going to work.

An iPhone's inherent security measures has no risk of hacking, particularly when it remains within its intended operational framework. Without undergoing the process of 'jailbreaking,' which involves bypassing built-in security features, an iPhone generally maintains a robust defense against unauthorized access or manipulation.

Regarding the restoration of an iPhone to its factory settings, the method chosen—whether initiated directly from the iPhone or through a Mac—ultimately achieves the same outcome. Both avenues facilitate the complete erasure of personal data and settings, reverting the device to its original state. This restoration process ensures a clean slate, effectively removing any user-specific information or modifications made during the device's use.

The iPhone is safer the most. There are reports there is software available that allow governments to do hack, but they would go only after legitimate targets, not ordinary citizens. And it costs millions of $$$.

That said, a jailbroken iPhone is susceptible to hacks. Is your phone jailbroken? If not the chances that your phone is hacked is probably around 0.0000001%
