17.7.7
After the most recent iOS 17.1.1 software update to my iPhone 12 things look differen, but that is okay, I like inheriting a “new phone” sometimes and everything seems to work fine except for my Wi-Fi security cameras app—LAVIEW.
I have several WiFi cameras around my house watching my property, and I have never had a problem with the app or my inexpensive wifi cameras, but immediately after the upgrade, whenever I open the app and tap one of the cameras, it starts to load up and then the app disappears—stops working.
I have tried this countless times, and it just shuts down after starting to open the camera to view what’s happening outside.
I have re-installed the app several times. I have deleted all the cameras and reinstalled several again, but it continues to do this.
Again, never a problem before the upgrade, no other app seems to be affected, but this app is the only one.
The app is updated, it has been deleted and reinstalled, and I have rebooted my phone many times—sometimes from a hard shut down and turned back on.
I don’t know what else to do. I do not want to give up using the 12 cameras I have. I’ve tried other Wi-Fi camera apps, and have been unsuccessful at knowing how to connect these Wi-Fi cameras to them.
As you can imagine, 12 cameras no matter how cheap, was quite the investment and asset for my home security.
I have cleared out gigabytes of data and photos to make lots of space available on the iPhone. Space is not the issue I am certain.
Any ideas? Thanks!
