I purchased the iPhone 15 Pro (256 GB) 2 days ago but after trying it I’m thinking I should’ve gotten the iPhone 15 Pro Max instead. Can I still change my mind and will Apple Store allow me to return (exchange)and get the iPhone 15 pro max instead? Besides paying the cost difference would any other charges be incurred if this is allowed?
Yes. Typically, you have 14 days from date of purchase to return an iPhone for full refund, then buy the phone you'd rather have. You do have to return the phone in the original box with all accessories (the charging cord).

Great. Thanks for the reply! I have the original box and charging cord. I even bought a screen protector and case for the phone (sigh).
You're welcome. You'll need to remove the screen protector (but it was VERY smart to put one on to begin with) and you likely know someone you can either give the case to or sell it to them.
