Setting up Apple ID for child, invalid phone number

I'm setting up an Apple ID for a child so I can add them to family sharing.

But I get an error saying Invalid Phone Number. Please enter a new one and try again.

The phone number and area code are correct as they defaulted in from my apple account.

what do I do?

Unable to create a Child Family Account Trying to set up an apple id with a new icloud account for a child. Constant failure with no indication as to the cause. Attempting on my MacBook and in my iPhone as well. open settings - family sharing - click the '+' to add - select "create child account" - click Next at the "Create Child account" window - enter the security code for the credit card associated with my account for parental consent - agree to Ts&Cs - Enter child's name and birthday, then click Get a free iCloud email address (also tried with an existing kids email account an entered the code that was emailed) and create a password... -- then it asks for Phone number to confirm for authentication At this point of time I keep seeing this error but still fails "There was a problem creating your new Apple ID. Your account cannot be created at this time". Tried it after rebooting the MacBook and iPhone still no luck. There is no Three different failures with no indication of the cause of the failure and no assistance available.

Unable to set up Child account because of error "Invalid Phone Number" Hello: "Santa Clause" brought an iPad Gen 9 to my kid. I am trying to create a kid's apple app store account using the path in my iphone: "Settings > "Family Sharing" > "Invite Family Create Child Account" . After I put every detail as it is, date of birth, confirm that I'm an adult buy setting up my Debit/credit Card, and go through the painful long process, I get an error message "Your Phone Number is Invalid" I hace tried my correct phone number, and also my wife's phone number and I cannot get thos resolved. Is Super frustrating. Can I get help for this please?
