widgets turn on when i move my wrist

With the latest OS update on my watch, there is now a widgets screen that is activated by pushing up from the bottom of the watch face. If my sleeve is touching my watch, turning my wrist to look at the time is enough to activate the widgets. I'm finding this very annoying because it takes a second click to see the time. Since it's early winter, this issue is not going to go away on its own soon. Is there a way to turn this feature off?

You're right, this is happening a lot more than would be explained by swiping up. I did not have this issue with the control center. I'm realizing that it's probably not the swipe up, but the rotation of the crown. I wear my crown on the left so that I don't push the buttons when I'm working out. I'll post to see if that can be disabled.

Ah! Yes, I forget you can bring up the Smart Stack by rotating the Digital Crown.
