ipod classic won’t sync

My 7th-generation iPod classic, 160gb SSD, suddenly won’t appear in Music to sync, even after restoring the software. How do I get Music to recognize it again?

Everything was fine as of a couple of weeks ago, but now Music never even shows the iPod as being connected. can't syc ipod nano 7th gen with sonoma I connect my ipod nano 7th gen to my sonoma M1 macbook pro. It shows up in itunes fine, but when I try to sync my music, nothing shows up in the screen to select when I pick either entire library or selected music.

Why does Apple Music and iTunes refuse to see my ipod classic? My ipod classic 80Gb is connecting to my computer and my laptop, and I can connect to it with the Apple Devices app. However that is horendously slow and will only allow me to sync everything from the computer after removing all my music from the ipod. I have songs on there which I cannot get access to elsewhere, so need the facility to selectively sync. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have exactly the same problem. And it started when I updated to OS Monterey (I had Catalina). The iPod is visible in the Finder, but no more way to sync... Please help ???
