Sponsered Ads on Google do not open

When I do a search on Google on my iMac, Google displays Sponsored ads and if I click on a Sponsored ad then here is the message I get ;

This site can’t be reached

www.googleadservices.com took too long to respond.

And then the next page that opens, on the address bar it reads,,,,, about:blank, resulting in a white blank web page.

This does not happen on any other browser.

I have used Google for years with no issues until this started up awhile back.

This does not happen on my iPhone 13 connected to the same network.

My wife's iPhone 12 is encountering this frustrating problem as well.....

Help please! I have searched up and down and cannot find any solutions.
