Add playlist songs to library keeps turning on

So annoying, might just go to Spotify... or do the old method way of high res downloading/torrenting each song. Shame, I like Apple Music > Spotify because they support the artists more... but if they cannot fix such a simple bug anytime soon I will cancel my subscription and move on.

it’s literally so annoying and it’s driving me insane. my library is full of multiple albums and songs. when i delete the stuff from my library, if i add another song to an album it comes back, otherwise, it deletes the whole song or album from my playlist 😐

Makes Music unusable since we can not add anything in our playlists...

Hope someone from Apple is reading this...

And while you are at it, fix Carplay not displaying playlists if you don't have any music in your library and you're only using playlists...

I am also having this problem, i thought i was the only one! It's so annoying because if i delete it from my library the whole album is deleted from my playlists. i thought updating it would help but it didn't. does anyone know how to fix this??

The issue seems to have just fixed itself for me. I added several new songs to one of my playlists and none went to my library. I added some more and removed some just to experiment and it didn’t make the toggle to switch on. Yay!

as soon as I saw this is tried it again, and it didn’t work. Then I deleted that song, tried again with multiple from multiple different albums to one playlist and all good. So maybe there’s a fix or the bug flew away?

I’m not too sure if it’s gotten fixed. But I’ve noticed that when you delete the song from the library, it also deletes in from your playlist. But when I add the song back onto the playlist it doesn’t get added to the library. Kind of an annoying process and was wondering if anyone found a solution?

I’ve lost about 20 songs off my playlist from this bug because I deleted them from my library not knowing that it would delete from my playlist too. So now I have no idea how to fix it and get them back.

Edit: I was on a 4 hour road trip and ended up listening to 2000’s throwbacks through smart shuffle. Every time a song came on that I recognized, I added it to my playlist. I got all the way to my destination before I realized that they were adding to my library too. So I deleted them from my library thinking that they’d stay in my playlist 🤦🏼‍♀️ Now I have no way of adding them again since I can’t remember most of them

its been doing it since 17.1 for me but I think 17.1.2 is making it worst for me

Same here!! And it’s so frustrating. To make it worse whenever I delete these library separate albums it automatically remove the music from my playlist too. They need to fix this asap!!!

Omg I thought it was just me!! This is so annoying.

I also have this issue, it’s bad, I’ve tried many loop holes but it either glitches or adds to library. I’m on 17.1.1 I don’t know if it’ll fix itself on 17.1.2. It’s become a real issue.

I don’t think so. For me, the issue started AFTER I updated to 17.1.2.
