MAKE EXCEL THE DEFAULT WHEN downloading a spreadsheet

In Finder, select (highlight) the file and then use File menu > Get Info (or command I) and in the Open With section of the Info window select Excel and and click the Change All button. All files currently on the Mac and any files of that file type downloaded in the future will open with Excel.

Do a Get Info on an spreadsheet file. CMD+i keys, then 2/3rds the way down look for Open With..., select the Numbers App & click on the Change All button.

Oops I meant choose Excel, not Numbers! :(
