Force restart not working

You don't use the "slider" at all during a Forced Restart

Quickly press and release the Up button

Quickly press and release the Down button

Hold the Side button.....and keep holding it. Ignore the "slider" when it appears and keep holding the Side button until the Apple logo appears in the center of the screen. It may take another 10-15 seconds for this to occur

Then....release the Side button

If you try the Forced Restart a few times and the phone does not return to normal operation......there is a hardware problem that will need attention at the Apple Store or an authorized Apple service shop.

(1) Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

• Press and quickly release Volume UP button
• Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
• Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF). 

(2)  If the above does not work then - Follow the instructions in this article by Apple ➔ If your iPhone is Non-Responsive or Frozen and see if that helps.

(3)  If that does not help, then contact 👉 Official Apple Support OR you can always get your iPhone examined at the Apple Store 👉 Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and evaluation.
