Home Bar and App Bars Are In The Way

I notice there was a question years ago about the home bar being in the way and if there was a way to turn it off. So far Apple has not addressed this need nor the way the app bar at the bottom likes popping up at the most inopportune times. That they don’t allow these customizations is why I prefer using Android more and I can’t help wonder if they ever considered that we don’t always want the same things as they do. Is there a way to petition for these type of changes or would they only go ignored? I love my iPad Air 11” but it still has room for improvements.
