Airpod Pro's "connected" but sound still comes from Macbook Air 15 speakers ...

So I am connected to my Macbook Air 15 with my Airpod pros I just bought.

I've toggled on and off the bluetooth. I've unpaired the pros from the computer and paired them back from the airpods case. The airpods work on my iphone and my ipad ... just not the my Air 15.

I am using Google Chrome so I thought it was maybe a glitch with them, but opened my Apple TV+ app on the computer and the sound still comes out the Mac.
