iPhone 15 battery health dropped in one month of usage

i bought iPhone 15 on 22 October. And after 25 cycles battery health dropped to 99 and after 30 cycles on 4 December battery health dropped to 98. I am a normal user i don’t play games, i use only few social media apps that’s it. This is not normal because earlier battery health used to drop to 98-99 after one year. I have seen few more users reporting this issue with 15 pro max and 15 plus also. I feel Apple wants everyone to buy iPhone every year or pay for batteries every year. This is pathetic experience.

The phone is 5+ months old. Max Cap should be at about 95% by now.

Maximum Capacity is going to drop......on average.....at about 1% a month. That is an average. Some months in a row it might not drop at all and then drop 2-3% the next month.

Your battery is performing normally.....exactly the same as the two iPhone 15s here at the house that are both 8 months old and displaying a Max Cap of 92%.

After 12 months, Max Cap will be in the 88-90% range. After 24 months, it will be down to about 80%. Replace the battery at 80%

Batteries are chemical products. They easily effected by environmental conditions. Apple guarantees that the device will not decrease more than %80 of battery health in 2 years. So if it ever decreased below %80 in 2 years at that point it is not normal. At that situation, the battery change made by apple. At ideal conditions iphone 15 should remain 80 percent of battery at cycles of 1000. But it is not guaranteed.

Apple doesn't warranty the battery for more than one year unless you buy AppleCare. If the battery drops below 80% in one year, they will replace it for free. But, without AppleCare, after the first year, the user has to pay for the replacement.

My iPhone 15 with 68 charge cycles has reached battery health 99% and I got it on May 1.

You do know that the Battery Health will normally decline about 1% for every 25 charge cycles, correct?

Your battery has had 68 charge cycles, so 68 divided by 25 = 2.7%.

So, it would be normal to expect that your Battery Health would be in the 97 to 98% range at this time. You report that it is at 99%.

Your battery is doing significantly better than average. If it keeps up at this rate, you might consider sending flowers to Apple for your very good luck with the battery.

I use 15 plus for 2 months plus now my battery health is 99%. I hate it when this happened cause I don’t use this phone regularly and i only charge it one in two or three days! I guess it’s just the same if I happen to use it regularly and charge it everyday maybe the time is half of what mine is. Also this is fine compared to my experience with 14 plus! In a year my battery health drops to 85%!
