Can I use sidecar with a personal iPad on a work laptop with MDM

I had previously been signed in to my personal iCloud account on my work macbook pro in order to be able to use sidecar with my personal iPad. I travel a lot for work, so it's been really nice to have the extra screen without any extra weight. Recently, I had to sign out of my personal iCloud account and enroll in MDM. Now I can't use my personal iPad as an extra screen.


Is there any way around this? Even with my iPad plugged in, it doesn't seem to work with sidecar anymore.

It would seem not. For Sidecar one of the key requirements listed here is:


Apple's page User Enrolment and MDM here says this requires a Managed Apple ID, which is different to a personal Apple ID. As these are different types of Apple ID is ought not to work, which is what you are finding.
