With the Apple watch second gen SE GPS and Cellular do you need your own phone number for it to work?
My granddaughter has no iphone so I believe I can use family setup but I am unclear if this requires her own phone number.

It does not require her own phone number, but without one, the Apple Watch will be limited in functionality.
It will need to be connected to Wi-Fi to do anything other than tell the time.
Also, with Family Setup, several features will not be available, even when connected to Wi-Fi.
