Magic Keyboard Lagging

So, my Magic Keyboard was not working properly:

1) It was lagging while in both the "ON" and "OFF" positions.

I know that sounds pretty odd, but this was the case. Even when I switched the keyboard off, it still maintained a connection to my iMac.

I currently have an iMac 27-inch, 2020 Intel Core i7. Currently running Sonoma 14.1.2

After exhausting all keyboard & BlueTooth resets known to man, I called Apple Support. Together we ran tests and tried solutions. Nothing worked. I was then referred to an authorized repair service for an appointment. However, before I left for the appointment, I connected the keyboard directly to the iMac via a USB-C to Lighting cable. This fixed everything.

My keyboard now disconnects from BlueTooth when I turn it off, and there is no more lagging.

Just thought I'd share this in case anyone else encounters a similar issue.
