can't find app drawer in imessage

When starting a text message I used to have an app drawer that allowed insertion of cool GIF's but it's not there now. ?

Go to messages, then tap the + sign, then "More" and you'll see the familiar apps that allow adding images and GIF's to messages.

"Messages" does not have an "App" button. Can not insert pictures. There is supposed to be a button to the left of the entry field in iMessage, which I can use to add files/pictures to a message. iMessage icon is gone. I can still receive & send messages, but the icon is gone! How can I get it back?? I can receive & send messages; but I need to go into my contacts and choose the ‘message’ icon there. The message icon used to be at the bottom of my Home Screen and now it’s gone. Suddenly I don't have the #images in iMessage on iPhone? Suddenly I do not have the #images in iMessage that I used to have and now many more apps show up in the list. I cleaned up the list but where do I find the #images???? [Re-Titled by Moderator]
