Intel based iMac won’t connect to Recovery Server

Hey folks,

I spent all day on this and finally got an answer I wanted to share. The Intel based iMac won’t connect to the Recovery Server no matter what you do to help it said for this:

use the reset of the Intel chip by holding down option, command, P and R during power on/bootup.

that forces it to let go of a bad config in its networking that won’t let it talk to the Recovery Server over the internet.

Apple Support helped me figure that out after wasting all day testing to fix it myself. Sudo commands and all. Ugh.
