Checking to see if iPhone is tapped or hacked?

My friend and I had a very private conversation on our cell phones. Two days later he sent me a text that gone out to several of our friends as group text. Had my name on it appearing it came from me. I did not send this, and there is no record on my phone showing it came from me. Had several look at my phone as well.

What was contained on this text was part of our conversation two days earlier, and as far as I know only he and I were aware of this.

I have spent time attempting to figure this out, especially with Apple security. My provider is AT&T

Going to check with them as well.

Any suggestions, thoughts?
