I am using a new iPad Air and a Magic Keyboard and I have the following issue.
whenever I press a back space on my iPad, instead of deleting the last letter it jumps forward to the beginning of the next word.
I’ve tried resetting my iPad and updating it but it’s still doing the same thing. Anyone know how to fix this annoyance?

Ensure that you have disabled Full Keyboard Access. When enabled, you may see unexpected behaviour:
Settings > Accessibility > Keyboards > Full Keyboard Access - set to OFF
