What are these (duplicated) “Backups of ” folder-“volumes” inside my Finder?

Hi,

using a MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021 model) on OS X v12.7.1. So somehow one day I was brought to the “Volumes” landing page of Finder (probably I ejected an external drive or something) & I see these volumes:

“Macintosh HD” & “Recovery” seems reasonable to be there, but may I know what the other 3 are?

The third one with the “<space>1” prefix is worrying because I wonder if I’ve accidentally “mis”-dragged & dropped & duplicated some system volume that I’m not supposed to.

Lastly, what does the 2 folder (the 2nd and 3rd row) with the "mini stop sign" mean?

Any insights?

Note1: I’m using Time Machine if it matters but my Time Machine destination is to a NAS.

Note2: My "computer name" is "En...MkIII"

Hi, sorry for the late response, it seemd the original volve was lost somehow during transfers...

In Finder's Menu, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes". (no quotes)

Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.

Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1 or 2 if there are no real files in them, and reboot.
