So this is really odd. My Macbook Pro 2015 screen has been black for… a few years. I get by with a dual monitor and my projector. But today as I was working on it, the sunlight from my window came through the back of the screen through the Apple logo, and low and behold… I could see the screen display through that light???? It seems like whatever light illuminates the display is not working but the actual screen/display is still working? Is this fixable? What do I do??
Right — the display backlight has failed...
Sure it is fixable—typically this is a display assembly replacement.
