On my old computer I had itunes with music. It had all my purchased songs as well as music I was able to add from CD's. I was also able to sync all that music onto my iphone.
When I downloaded the itunes app onto my new computer it only shows podcasts and audiobooks - no music.

You need to move (or copy) the music folder from your old computer to the new one.

This symptom suggests that you have the Apple Music for Windows Preview app installed. Remove it and iTunes should be able to show music again. See also Move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Community as noted above.

new itunes version have a bug (like sync ur device with ur pc)
but they moved music and video library to a new specialized apps u have to search them on windows store (apple music for example)
if u dont wanna download those apps just downgrade ur itunes version
